You can change the MES System User for a workflow repository from the Work Tasks Connector Configurator utility's Manage Workflow Repositories page. The MES System User is the user account that will be used by MES workflows when making calls to the MES middleware.
The MES System User can be the same as the workflow repository admin user or can be different for a workflow repository.
It is highly recommended that you do not perform this procedure in production during business hours.
-
Open the Work Tasks Connector Configuration utility by doing one of the following:
-
On the Start menu, select Workflow Connector Configuration.
-
Run the WorkflowMESConnectorConfigEditor.exe file.
This file is installed during the MES Connector installation. The default folder location for this file is the Workflow folder in the MES application folder.
The Manage Workflow Repositories page appears.

-
-
Make sure the connection whose MES System User you want to change is active (connected).
-
Right-click the entry in the list and click Edit Connection.
You are prompted to confirm the editing of the connection.
-
Select Yes to continue with editing the connection.
The Admin & System User Information page appears.

-
In the MES System User boxes, enter the user account information for the new MES System User.
The user account must be a Windows user account that has been added as an MES user (using MES Client) with MES admin privileges.
To use the same user account that is specified for the repository admin user, select the Use Admin User as System User option.
-
Select the Provision MES User for Workflow Repository button.
The Workflow Server and Repository Details page appears.

-
To verify that the entered user account can connect to the Work Tasks server and repository, select the Test Connection button.
If the connection is not successful, make sure that the authentication entries on the page are correct.
-
If the connection is successful, in the Repository Name list select the appropriate repository.
The Provision dialog box appears.

-
Complete the provision information.
