Understand the Work Tasks Connector for MES

Work Tasks Connector for MES (also referred to as the MES Connector) provides an integration layer to make connections between a Work Tasks workflow repository and the MES middleware. The MES Connector integration allows you to:

• Connect from a Work Tasks Server and retrieve data from MES.

• Invoke a method in the MES middleware through a Work Tasks workflow activity.

• Create a Work Tasks Workflow Instance through MES middleware extensibility hooks.

The integration layer—the MES Connector—handles the connectivity from the:

• The MES middleware on the MES Middleware server to the Work Tasks server, referred to as an outbound connection

• The Work Tasks server to the MES middleware, referred to as an inbound connection
