A fallback on-premises entitlement check is provided when on-premises system is disconnected from internet. In case of disconnect from CONNECT, the on-premises Usage Service reads cached account agreements and determines if user is entitled. The local authentication will succeed only if the user was previously authenticated with CONNECT from the on-premises system. Offline connected experience enables InTouch to continue operations when network connectivity to CONNECT is unavailable.
The offline connected experience works only when the Enable offline connected experience checkbox in the Configurator under Common Platform > Federated Identity Provider is enabled.

By enabling offline connected experience, you consent to authentication using Windows Active Directory (AD) credentials in the event of an internet disconnection. Enabling offline connected experience will allow your on-premises applications to run for up to 30 days using your local Active Directory authentication. For more information refer to the Configurator help.
Note: When more than 30 days have passed and a machine is in fallback authentication mode, then the behavior will be as described in the Behavior During Connection Loss topic.
In offline connected experience, when you try to open Application Manager or WindowViewer, you will be prompted to enter your windows credentials.
If WindowViewer is actively running and the fallback expiry date and time passes, WindowViewer will continue to run normally. Secured write, verified write, and Alarm Client Control signature required operations will continue to function normally while the application is running. If WindowViewer is closed and re-opened during this state, WindowViewer will launch in either demo mode or read-only mode.
