  • UDT script execution requires access to certificates used by Suite Link-based secure communication with the WindowViewer process. By default, interactive and low-privileged users do not have access to these certificates for security reasons. Therefore, an administrator must explicitly add the View-launching user to the ASB web hosting group (ArchestraWebHosting) for below WindowViewer scenarios.

    • Interactive view.exe session (workstation mode) with no web clients

    • Interactive view.exe session (workstation mode) with web clients

Failure to grant this access will result in communication failures when UDT script execution attempts to read/write tags through WindowViewer.

  • In Configurator, configure the System Management Server and Identity Manager Registration Manager under the InTouchHMI plug-in for the scripting service. After the configuration is completed successfully, restart the InTouchServiceMgr service. If InTouchServiceMgr is in stopped state, then you must restart the machine.

Required Configurator options for UDT Scripting

  • To execute UDT scripts when WindowViewer is running in non-administrator mode, the logged-in user must belong to the ArchestrAWebHosting group.
