PI Integrator for Business Analytics

User access permissions

A user can access the PI Integrator for Business Analytics user interface (UI) when an AF identity to which they are mapped is present on the PI Integrator for Business Analytics Administration Users page. There are two application-level access permission roles, PI Integrator Administrator and PI Integrator User.

  • Administrator – Users mapped to an AF identity with the Administrator checkbox selected can perform all administrative functions with the PI Integrator for Business Analytics UI, such as adding or modifying existing identities, views and publish targets, as well as the ability to add and configure permissions for other users. They can also see and modify all views, regardless of whether an AF identity has Reader or Owner permissions.

User – Users who are not mapped to an AF identity with the Administrator checkbox selected are unable to access the Administration page. Access to individual views through the web interface depend upon what view permission is assigned to the user for that view (view owner, view reader). Administrators have full access to views created by any user, regardless of view Permission. See View Access Permissions for more information. User Access permissions can be modified in the Users tab of the Administration page as described in Add and configure identities.
