PI Integrator deployment

The following describes different ways you can deploy the PI Integrator for Business Analytics. The diagram below shows multiple independent deployments of PI Integrator for Business Analytics. Each PI Integrator instance points to its own PI AF server and SQL server instance.

It is also possible for multiple PI Integrator for Business Analytics instances to be installed against the same PI AF server as shown below. A new and unique PI AF instance element is created in the same PI AF database for each installed instance.

Alternatively, multiple PI Integrator for Business Analytics instances can point to the same SQL Server as shown below. When each instance is installed, it will share the same SQL databases as the other instances but a separate set of instance-specific tables are created in these SQL server databases for each PI Integrator for Business Analytics instance.

Note: The SQL Server can also be installed on a node that is entirely separate from any of the PI Integrator for Business Analytics instances.

In all cases, you can install only one PI Integrator instance on a node.
