As of PI Integrator for Business Analytics 2020 R2 SP2, the PI View target has been deprecated and all existing views using the PI View target will have publication disabled. The PI View target is no longer accessible in the Publish Targets list on the Targets tab on the Administration page. The following procedure describes how to migrate a view using the PI View publish target to a Microsoft SQL Server publish target as an alternative.
Note: If you no longer need the existing view publishing to the PI View target, it is recommended to delete it using the Remove View button. This will delete the view’s data and metadata tables in the PIIntegratorDB SQL database in SQL Server; only do this if you have already migrated your view to a Microsoft SQL Server target or have determined the view can be removed.
-
If you do not have a Microsoft SQL Server publish target configured, see Configure the Microsoft SQL Server target.
-
Create a copy of the view using the PI View publish target by selecting it on the My Views page and clicking Modify View.
-
Verify that the copied view has your desired configuration in the Select Data and Modify View pages.
-
Once ready to publish, navigate to the Publish page.
-
Click on the Target Configuration list and select the Microsoft SQL Server target you created in step 1.
-
Select your desired Run Mode and Publish Time. If you selected the Run on a Schedule option, specify the publish frequency for subsequent runs.
-
Click Publish to publish the view.
