Run Plant SCADA without Encryption

You can disable encryption for some of Plant SCADA's runtime components. However, encryption is a requirement for the following servers:

• Deployment server

• OPC UA server.

Note: Running Plant SCADA without encrypted communications is not recommended.

To run Plant SCADA without encryption:

1. Launch Configurator.

2. In the left pane, select Plant SCADA | Encryption.

   

3. On the Encryption page, clear the Enable Encryption checkbox.

   

4. Click Configure.

   The following warning message will appear in the Configurator Messages panel:

   "Encryption is currently disabled. It is recommended that you enable encryption."

5. Select Close to exit Configurator.
