Set up the Communication Drivers SDK in Visual Studio 2022

  1. Download the Communication Drivers SDK installation media from the Global Customer Site.

  2. Locate the Setup-OISDK.msi in the SDK installation media.

  3. Double-click Setup-OISDK.msi to install the SDK .

  4. After the installation is complete, go to C: > Program Files(x86) > Wonderware > OI-Server > OI-SDK > Bin.

  5. Double-click the OISDKExtention.vsix.

    The VSIX Installer appears.

  6. Select the Visual Studio 2022 package on your machine as the product you want to install the extension to.

After the extension is installed, you can develop your own Communication Driver. Refer to Develop a Communication Driver for more details.
