Integration with Other AVEVA Cloud Services and On-Premises Products

AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access can be used as an integrated solution with the following products and services:

  • AVEVA E3D Whitespace Optimizer
    For optimizing production of 3D drawings.

  • AVEVA Asset Information Management – Advanced
    For project data publishing.

  • AVEVA Point Cloud Manager on Connect
    To directly work with reality capture data, ensuring clash-free 3D design and error free construction.

  • AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management on Connect (via AVEVA Integration Service on Connect)
    To exchange E3D Catalog data.

  • AVEVA Simulation on Connect (via AVEVA Integration Service on Connect)
    To support FEED workflows.

  • Other 3rd-party tools.

Integrations via AVEVA Integration Service for Unified Engineering Data Sources in AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access

In this release of AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access if there is a requirement to create Unified Engineering data sources in AVEVA Integration Service, the customer admin should:

  • Raise a support case via the AVEVA Knowledge & Support Center with the following details:

    • Description: Request to create an AVEVA™ Unified Engineering Data Source
      This should be in the description of the support case.

    • CONNECT Account
      This is the name of the account from the profile icon in CONNECT.

    • AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access CONNECT folder
      In which the AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access service is deployed.

    • Spectrum CONNECT folder
      In which the Spectrum service is deployed.

    • Spectrum Project
      Name of the project

    • Project Database (MDB)
      The database of the spectrum project Example: ALL

    • Type of the Data source
      The Unified Engineering Module. (AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Design, AVEVA Catalogue, AVEVA Draw)

    • Name of the Data source to be created
      The name the Data Source will be created with

    • Email addresses of Customer Admin(s)
      Email addresses used by AVEVA Support to respond with confirmation of changes made.

  • AVEVA Support will contact the email address provided in the support ticket requesting a temporary Service Access Token be passed to them via a secure email. This token is required to allow AVEVA Support to create a data source on your behalf.
    To create the token:

    • Log in to the CONNECT account specified in your support ticket.
      Ensure you are signed in with an Administrator account.

    • Navigate to Integrations → Access Tokens - > Create Token

    • Provide a description (e.g. TempTokenforCOI), Expiry date (approximately 30 days from the creation date) and other details as shown below - > Create the token

    • Generate an Advanced configuration Service access token for the AVEVA Integration Service enabled in the relevant CONNECT Folder with the Datasource Admin role.
      Provide a suitable description (e.g. TempTokenforCOI) and Expiry date of approximately 30 days from the creation date.

      Copy the token using "Copy to clipboard", Save/preserve the generated token

    • Reply to the AVEVA Support email via an encrypted email, attaching or including the newly created Service Access Token.

      Important:

      The Service Access Token should be shared only through encrypted email for security reasons.

      The token will be used solely for the purpose of creating the requested data source and will be discarded once the activity is completed.

      AVEVA Support will action the remaining changes and respond via the ticket and to the Email addresses provided in the ticket when complete.

      A future release will allow self-service creation of Unified Engineering data sources.
