Managing Multiple AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access Services in CONNECT with CONNECT folders

For a given CONNECT account, it is possible to enable multiple AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access services and manage them through CONNECT.

Folders in CONNECT can be used to support the use of multiple AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access services for your organization (one service per CONNECT folder). The Folder Management functionality of CONNECT can be used to represent your business units, asset hierarchy, locations or any other categorization combination you desire, up to two folder levels.

As an example (above), if you have users located in two different regions (APAC and EMEA) working on Upstream projects who require access to streamed desktops, you could create an Upstream level1 CONNECT folder with level2 CONNECT folders for each region and enable the AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access service on these two folders as illustrated above.

To manage access, you grant groups/roles for the relevant AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access service(s) to users. This exposes the AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access tile for the user in the respective CONNECT folder.

For information about how to create CONNECT folders, refer to the CONNECT Folder management.
