One of the prerequisites to getting started with AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access is to have a clear understanding of your organization's requirements, services required, your users’ profiles and how to organize your AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access environments.
This information is crucial in understanding how many environments your organization needs and creating a folder structure accordingly. After you gather this information, you can proceed with creating folders, adding users, adding them to groups and\or assigning roles. For information on how to perform these tasks, refer to the CONNECT documentation.

In the context of AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access, you perform the following steps to enable the service and grant user access permissions:
-
Create CONNECT folder(s).
-
Enable the AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access service on the CONNECT folder(s).
-
Contact AVEVA Support to provision and link the AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access service tenant environment to your CONNECT folder(s). This is currently a manual process that will be automated in a future release.
As part of this request, it important you provide estimates of the initial number of users that will require streamed sessions to ensure sufficient capacity. See Streamed Desktops and Fleet Capacity Policies from Streamed Desktops -
Add CONNECT users.
-
Assign CONNECT users to CONNECT Groups or CONNECT Roles.
