The table below explains the D:\ part-persistent local storage systems in AVEVA™ Unified Engineering – Browser Access streamed desktops and provides recommendations for storing and persisting your data between sessions.

Storage features |
Stored as objects on AWS S3 The Folder and File list catalog is compiled on session launch and displayed in File Explorer. Files are downloaded from S3 on access and thereafter synchronized during the session and at session end. Suitable for non-compute-intensive personal files. |
Stored as VHD files on AWS S3 VHD (Folders and Files) is mounted to high-speed direct attached local storage on session launch. Avoid storing personal files here due to storage size limits. |
