Define settings for each group

Group settings

This and other text-based values that show up in the UI can be referenced from the Localization language lang.xml file or hard coded directly in the Asset Data Sheet and other fields of XR nodes. Using the localization feature allows the XR solution to support other regions.

• displayName: Add the display name text for any other languages you set up for this application, otherwise you can enter (hard-code) the name here that appears for each language.

• numberOfEntries (subgroups): This defines the number of child elements of the parent group. This could represent various smaller subcomponents of the parent assembly. Break down the discovery depending on the value it provides for the Connected Worker.

  Any @lang: references that are not in the lang.xml file will need to be added with appropriate text.

Edit group settings

1. Copy the group_0 struct XML and paste for each group (5 groups).

   

2. Rename struct name to follow the group_0, group_1, and so on naming convention.

3. Enter displayName for each group (recommend language reference, instead of hard-coding).

4. Enter numberOfEntries for each group. Typically, this value is 1 unless you have more subcomponents to discover.

   

   Important: Watch the log window for missing language references errors. These must be fixed immediately before continuing to test your latest changes.
