Quick start configuration

The Quick Start option allows you to choose an adapter from the main page and continue with the necessary configuration steps to get started, such as defining a component or adjusting data selection parameters.

It is designed to help you move quickly from adapter selection to a working configuration by presenting the required setup tasks in a clear, step-by-step workflow.

Quick Start consists of four steps that guide you through component setup:

• Select component specifies the adapter or interface component to configure.

• Configure data source defines the source from which the component collects data.

• Configure and add data selection items identifies the data items that the component reads.

• Add or edit data endpoints defines the destination for collected data and allows you to update endpoint settings as needed.

To begin a Quick Start, select the adapter to configure and then select the Configure Adapter button. On the selected adapter's configuration page, select Quick Start. The Quick Start page for your adapter displays. You must follow each step in sequential order.

Note: Select Exit Quick Start at any time during the Quick Start process to save your completed progress and return to your component's main page. If you are editing an existing component or parameter, and you select Exit, your progress is not saved.

• Select component - Create a component to configure

• Data source - Configure the connection to the data source from which data will be collected

• Data selection - Specify the data to be collected from the selected source

• Egress endpoints - Configure the destination endpoints to which the collected data will be sent
