Client Settings

Client settings define how the adapter connects to and communicates with the destination system. In the adapter configuration process, these settings identify where the adapter sends data, how the connection is established, and which communication options are used during runtime.
A typical client settings configuration includes:

Client endpoint or destination: The server, service, or endpoint that receives data from the adapter.

Authentication and security settings: Credentials, certificates, or secure connection options required to connect to the destination.

Connection behavior: Settings that control connection timeouts, retries, keep-alive behavior, or reconnection attempts.

Data transfer options: Settings that determine how data is sent, batched, compressed, or formatted, depending on the adapter and destination.

Client identifiers: Names or IDs used to identify the client connection in logs, diagnostics, or destination systems.
The Client Settings component is available only for adapters that support client-specific connection tuning. This includes Azure Event Hubs, MQTT, and OPC UA .
