Advanced adapter configuration

Advanced configuration allows you to define additional adapter settings that are not required for basic setup, such as client failover, buffering and health endpoints.
Use Advanced configuration to update settings beyond the basic adapter setup. In general, this process includes the following steps:

Review the advanced settings for the adapter

Update existing configuration

Specify values for the settings you want to use

Save the updated configuration

Verify the configuration
To begin an advanced adapter configuration, select the adapter to configure on the main page and then select Configure Adapter to display the selected adapter's main page.

The main page displays the available elements that can be configured by reading the adapter's schema along with the OmfEgress component. The OmfEgress component manages the delivery of OMF data from the adapter to configured destination endpoints. It is included automatically with every adapter instance and cannot be deleted because it is required for adapter operation.
Select
to view the information associated with the OmfEgress component. This includes:

Logging - OmfEgress logs information separately from the adapter to assist with troubleshooting. Values for each field default to the adapter specifics. To modify the parameters, see Logging for more information.

Data Endpoints - Use this section to configure one or more egress endpoints for the current adapter instance. See Data Endpoints for more information.
Note: If you have completed the Quick Start process, the page displays your configured data endpoints.
Add a new component
You can add a new component by selecting
to display the Add Component pop-up window.

Enter a Component Id and select Save to add the new component to the section.
Note: The MQTT adapter features two component types: MQTT Sparkplug B and MQTT. When creating a new system component, this field defaults to MQTT Sparkplug. If required, select the drop-down to change the Component Type to MQTT.
Delete a component
To delete a component, select a component from the component tree and choose
. The system displays a confirmation prompt for you to confirm your choice. You can
dismiss the warning from displaying again by selecting the check box.
Select Remove to delete the component or Cancel to return to the main page.
Note: The OmfEgress component is hardcoded and cannot be deleted.
