Import data selection lets you bring existing data selection definitions into the Adapter Configuration Utility instead of creating them manually.
Use this section to load a file, review the imported items, and apply them to your current configuration so you can save time and maintain consistency across adapter instances.
To import data selection items:
-
On the Data Selection page, select Import to display the Import Data Selection window.

Note: If a discovery is actively running when trying import, the utility displays a warning message.
-
Identify the import mode. You can select between Overwrite, Append, or Modify.
Note: The utility defaults automatically to Overwrite.
-
Select Overwrite to overwrite all existing items.
-
Select Append to add to the existing list. Duplicate items are not permitted.
-
Select Modify to import updates to the existing items on the data selection list. The items must already be included in the current data selection. Importing data selection updates may take longer as the number of items increases.
-
-
Choose Select File to locate the JSON or CSV file on your machine and then select Import to upload the information.
-
When the information is successfully loaded, the first 50 items display in the Data Selection window. When more than 50 items display, a page indicator enables at the bottom of the page. Use the < > to move quickly between pages.
Note: Use the Rows per page drop-down to increase the amount of rows displayed up to a maximum of 1000 items.

Select the Next button to define your egress endpoints.
