Use this section to uninstall the AVEVA™ Adapter Configuration Utility when it is no longer needed or before reinstalling it.
Before you uninstall an adapter, stop both the adapter service and the AVEVA Adapter Configuration Utility (ACU) service. If ACU is running, it may access the adapter files and prevent the uninstall from completing.
After you uninstall an adapter, restart ACU. When the utility restarts, it registers for data selection file changes and updates the available adapter information.
Windows
To delete the adapter configuration utility program files from a Windows PC, use the Windows Control Panel uninstall application process.
Note: The configuration, data, and log files are not deleted by the uninstall process.
You can delete the configuration, data, and log files by deleting the directory. Open a command window and use the following command:
%ProgramData%\AVEVA\AdapterConfigUtility
This deletes all configuration files and log files.
Linux
To delete the adapter software from a Linux device, open a terminal window and run the following commands:
sudo apt purge aveva.adapter.config.utility
sudo apt autoremove
