To add a data source

  1. Open the BI Gateway Model Builder.

  2. Click the Add (Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE)) icon in the Floating Action Buttons menu and then click the Data Source (Data store) icon. A new data source is added in the BI Gateway model with a default name and the Data Source editor appears in the right pane.

  4. In the Data Adapter Service area, do the following:

    1. In the Server name box, type the name of the server where the BI Gateway Data Adapter service is installed and configured.

    2. In the Port box, type the port number of the server where the BI Gateway Data Adapter service is configured. By default, the value is 8732. You can specify any port number value between 0 and 65536.
