Deploying and undeploying a Data Source

You deploy the data source to the BI Gateway Server. Data from deployed data sources is available to deployed dependent dimensions and measures at run time. Be sure that you have defined the data source with the BI Gateway server node name before deploying the data source.

To deploy a data source

1. Open the BI Gateway Model Builder.

2. Under the Data Sources column, click the data source that you want to deploy. The Data source editor appears in the right pane with the selected data source details.

3. On the Action menu, click the Deploy () button. After the successful deployment, a notification message appears and the deploy status next to the data source name changes from yellow to green.

   

To undeploy a data source

4. Open the BI Gateway Model Builder.

5. Under the Data Sources column, click the data source that you want to undeploy. The Data source editor appears in the right pane with the selected data source details.

6. On the Action menu, click the Undeploy () button. After the successful undeployment, a notification message appears and the deploy status next to the data source name changes from green to yellow.
