Adding Users to the aaIntelligenceConfigAdmin Group

You can access the BI Gateway Model Builder only when you are part of the Windows group "aaIntelligenceConfigAdmin" that allows the user read-write access to the BI Gateway Model Builder application. Authorized users will see their Windows user name appear at the top right of BI Gateway. If you are not authorized to access BI Gateway, you will not see a user name at the top right, and Model Explorer will remain blank. You can add and grant access to the user by adding them to the Windows groups manually.

NOTE: Make sure you restart the computer after you add any user to the "aaIntelligenceConfigAdmin" Windows group.

To add users to the aaIntelligenceConfigAdmin group:

1. Open Service Manager > Configuration > Local Users and Groups > Groups.

2. Click Groups. A list of group names and descriptions appears.

3. Click aaIntelligenceConfigAdmin. The aaIntelligenceConfigAdmin Properties dialog box appears.

4. Click Add. The Select Users dialog box appears.

5. In Enter the object names to select, type the name of the user, group, or computer that you want to add to the group, and then click OK.
