Extracting the Customer Certificate ThumbPrint

You need to extract the thumbprint of the installed custom certificate before you can work with the BI Gateway using the custom digital certificate.
To extract the thumbprint

Go to Run, type mmc.exe, and then press ENTER. The Console dialog box appears.

Click File and then click Add/Remove Snap-in. The Add or Remove Snap-ins dialog box appears.

Select Certificates from the Available snap-ins list, and then click Add. The Certificates Snap-in dialog box appears.

Select Computer account, and then click Next. The Select Computer dialog box appears.

Click Local Computer, and then click Finish. The selected certificate snap-ins are displayed in the console root as shown in the following screenshot.

Click OK. The Certificates snap-ins appear in the left pane of the Console Root.

Click to expand Certificates snap-ins and then browse to the location where you have installed the custom certificates.

Right-click the selected Certificate, and then click Open. The Certificate dialog box appears.

Click the Details tab, and then search for the ThumbPrint.

Copy ThumbPrint, remove the spaces in between, and then save it in a notepad editor for future reference.
