Undeploying the BI Gateway Model

You undeploy a BI Gateway model from BI Gateway. You can:

• Undeploy the BI Gateway model.

• Undeploy individual BI Gateway objects.

If you undeploy:

• Multiple objects together, then the order of undeployment is: measures, dimensions, and then data sources.

• A data source only, then the dimensions and measures cannot access the data source. The on-going data collection process from the data source fails and reports errors in the logger.

• A dimension or measure, then the on-going data collection process for the dimension or measure is terminated.

• A dimension or measure, then the system prompts you to retain or remove the dimension or measure table in the datastore. If you choose to retain the table on undeployment, then the table is retained but not refreshed. If you choose to delete the table from the datastore, then the table is deleted from the datastore.

To undeploy BI Gateway Model

1. Open the BI Gateway Home page.

2. Click Undeploy All from the main menu to deploy the entire BI Gateway model. The Undeploy All Objects dialog box appears.

   

3. Click any of the following:

   • Cancel

   • Keep Data: if you want to retain the dimension or measure data in the datastore on undeployment.

   • Remove Data: if you want to delete the dimension or measure data from the datastore on undeployment.

     NOTE: To undeploy individual objects, click the Undeploy () icon in the Object Editor pane.
