Test the AVEVA Graphical Changes Service

To test the AVEVA Graphical Changes Service:

Open the Command Prompt and navigate to the AVEVA Unified Engineering installation folder, for example, C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\AVEVA.UnifiedEngineering_XXXX.2603.2006.2438_x64__rmxc60bdg8z8w\VFS\ProgramFilesX64\AVEVA\UE
In the example, XXXX indicates the product version number, for example, 3000.
Note:
The AVEVA Unified Engineering installation folder may be hidden. -
Type the following command at the prompt:
Aveva.Core3D.GraphicalChangesService.exe
If running successfully, the Aveva.Core3D.GraphicalChangesMonitor.exe displays.

Wait for the baseline cache creation to finish.

Check if the cache file is created in %projects_dir%\GCDCache\
If the projects_dir is not set using a system environment variable, navigate to the projects directory. For example, C:\Users\Public\Documents\AVEVA\Projects\UE\AvevaPlantSample\GCDCache

Stop the Graphical Changes Monitor and Graphical Changes Service.

Start the Graphical Changes Service.
Baseline Not Created
If having stopped and restarted the Graphical Changes Service, no baseline is created, it may be caused by Aveva.Core3D.GraphicalChangesMonitor.exe running in the background.

Launch the Task Manager application.

If Aveva.Core3D.GraphicalChangesMonitor.exe process is running, click End Task.

Close the Task Manager application.

Restart the Graphical Changes Service.
