Adding Users in CONNECT & Assigning Roles

Before integration of products via AVEVA Integration Service Cloud, you must add any data sources using one of AVEVA Integration Service Setting Editor, Desktop Application, or AVEA Integration Service Web Admin UI.

Assigning roles to data sources should be added using AVEVA Integration Service Settings Editor, Desktop Application, there are three roles available.

  • DataSource Admin:

    • You must add a user responsible for Adding/Editing/Deleting a Data source using AVEVA Integration Service Setting Editor, Desktop Application.

    • You must have a user who is part of DataSource Admin, who can run, RESTAPIPOOL & AVEVA Integration Service hosted on windows.

  • DataSource Reader:

    • User who can read data using AVEVA Integration Service Cloud (Data API).

    • User can read only from allowed data sources not every data source.

  • DataSource Writer

    • User who can publish data using AVEVA Integration Service Cloud (Data API).

    • User can publish only from allowed data sources not every data source.
