Mapping Network Drives

You can map the network drives of your computer with AVEVA™ Integration Service (Service). Mapping the network drives enables the Service to access Dabacon projects that are mapped in the server using a network drive.

Note: You must have Administrator rights for mapping the network drives with the Service.

The Map Network Drive dialog box provides the functionality for mapping network drives. To access the dialog box:

  • On the Integration Settings Editor dialog box, click Map Network Drive.

    Note: The changes made on the Map Network Drive dialog box take effect only after the Service is restarted.

Enabling the Service to access network drives

To enable the Service to access the network drives:

  • On the Map Network Drive dialog box, select the Enable Mapped Network Drives option.

    Note: The option to access mapped network drives is not available by default.

Configuring a new mapping to a network drive

To configure a new mapping to a network drive:

  1. Select the drive from the Drive list.

  2. Click Browse, select the remote folder, and then click OK.

  3. Click Save.

Modifying an existing mapping

Note: You must have permissions to log onto the shared project folder.

To modify an existing mapping to a network drive:

  1. Click Show User Network Drives. The network drives that are currently mapped with the current Windows user account are displayed.

  2. Select the check box for the required drive, and then click Map Drives to map the drive to the Service.

    Removing the mapping for a network drive

    To remove the mapping of a network drive with the Service:

    1. Click Show Configured Drives.

    2. Select the drive to be removed by selecting the corresponding check box.

    3. Click Remove Drives.
