Deployment Architectures

You can install AVEVA™ Integration Service (Service) and its components according to your requirements. You can choose one of the following deployment architectures depending on your environment and how your users are distributed.

One-Computer Deployment

In a One-Computer deployment, all the components of the Service are installed on a single computer. In addition, the computer can also have any data sources that your users frequently connect to. This deployment is best suited if most of your users are located in one region and are not geographically distributed. In such scenarios, this deployment reduces latency and improves performance.

The following image illustrates a one-computer deployment.

If you decide to adopt this deployment architecture, the following components of AVEVA™ Integration Service need to be installed on the computer:

• Integration Service

• Integration Client (optional)

• IntegrationServiceRESTAPI

• IntegrationServicesConfigAPI

• IntegrationServiceDataAPI

• IntegrationServiceWebAdmin

• Notification Service

• Notification Client (optional)

Multi-Computer Deployment

A multi-computer deployment can have two or more computers but one computer must be designated as the primary computer or the AVEVA Integration Service server computer (Server A in the image below). This deployment is suitable if your users are spread across geographical locations. The primary computer that acts a central location for data storage must be located in a region nearer to most users to ensure reduced latency and optimum performance.

The following components must be installed on the primary computer:

• Config API

• Data API

The primary computer can also contain other components and data sources as needed. However, you must ensure that the Config API and Data API are together available in the same computer.

The other computers can have one or more of the following components based on your needs:

• Integration Service

• IntegrationServiceRESTAPI

• IntegrationServiceWebAdmin

• Integration Client

• Notification Service

• Notification Client

• Any data sources used frequently by the users of the region
