Configure Hybrid Installation (Local + CONNECT Service) Server

To configure Hybrid Installation (Local + CONNECT Service) Server only, follow these steps:

Authentication & License Setup

Click on Authentication & License Setup node.

Select Yes or No in CONNECT Login Required?
Notes:
-
Select Yes to generate an interactive CONNECT token for AVEVA Product License type LaaS.

You will see below screen if No is selected for CONNECT Login Required?.

CONNECT Authority URL https://signin.connect.aveva.com is used when you select Yes.
Note: You will see below screen if Yes is selected for CONNECT Login Required?.

Select Service Authentication Type as CONNECT always.
Note: Select CONNECT if you want to use AVEVA Integration Service Local in combination with AVEVA Integration Service on CONNECT (hybrid installation). For more details, refer to "Overview of AVEVA Integration Service Local Server and AVEVA Integration Service on CONNECT."

If you select Service Authentication Type as CONNECT, you must enter AVEVA Integration Service CONNECT Service Access Token.

Enter or paste the CONNECT Service Access Token.
The CONNECT Service Access Token provides the functionality to set up and store CONNECT Service Access Token in AVEVA Platform Core Service installed locally in AVEVA Integration Service Local Server. AVEVA Integration Service Local uses the CONNECT token stored to integrate with AVEVA Integration Service on CONNECT APIs. Refer to "Generate Access Token".

Click Configure.

Click Yes.

Note: You can view messages in Configuration Messages.

Database & Logging Settings

Click on Database & Log Settings.

Browse to the Log File Location. AVEVA Integration Service stores logs in the entered location. Browse to a folder path.

Click Configure.

AIS API Settings
-
Click on AIS APIs Settings.
-
Select Security & Certificate tab.
-
Click on Select Certificate.

Select a certificate

Click Open.
You can either browse a certificate issued by your IT department or generate a self-signed certificate (not recommended for production use).

Select API Identity Management tab.

Enter Host Machine Name.

Enter Identity UserName along with domain for AIS APIs site binding.

Enter Identity Password for AIS IIS Application Pools Identity.
This configures the identity credentials for the API application pool. This account is used to authenticate and manage API operations on the specified host machine.

Click Save & Apply.

Select API Port Settings tab.

Enter AVEVA Integration Service Config API on CONNECT URL in API URL (Config API).

Click Apply. API URL https://eu.ais.connect.aveva.com/config must be used.

Enter AVEVA Integration Service Data API on CONNECT URL in API URL (Data API).

Click Apply. API URL https://eu.ais.connect.aveva.com/data must be used.

Enter Port Number for REST API, Click Apply.

Enter Port Number for Web Administration URI.

Click Apply.

Click Configure.

Click on Reset to enable default settings.

API Access Control
-
Select API Access Control
You can manage access rules for API services, however, by default, all users are allowed.

Select RESTAPI tab.

Click Add Allow Rule.

Click Add Allow Rule and select the Specified roles or user groups: radio button and add your group name.

Click OK.
Note: Your group name is allowed to access AIS APIs.

You select Web Administration and follow the steps accordingly to provide permission.
Notes:

AIS API APP Pool Identity must be given access to all the APIs ( RESTAPI, Web Administration).

You can manage access rules for API services, however, by default, all users are allowed.
