Install AVEVA WDA Framework

Review the following guidelines before you start the AVEVA WDA Framework Installer:

• Installation Directory

  • The default installation directory is: C:\Program Files\AVEVA\WDA.Platform.

• Users/Groups. The ComServer Consumers group should exist before you run the Installer.

  • The following users/groups are added to the ComServer Consumers group by the Installer:

    • IIS_IUSRS

    • Administrator

    • NETWORK SERVICE

    • LOCAL SERVICE

    • SYSTEM

• Installation will pause at Removing backup files for around two minutes, while it sets up the COM+ applications.

To install AVEVA WDA Framework:

1. Double-click the AVEVA WDA Framework.msi to execute it and the Windows Installer application launches.

2. Follow the instructions in the Windows Installer window.

After you have installed the AVEVA WDA Framework, you must perform the following post-installation tasks:

• Verify the installation of four COM+ Applications:

  1. On the Start menu, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Component Services.

  2. In the console tree, double-click Computers, and then double-click My Computer.

  3. To display all the applications, double-click the COM+ Applications folder for the specified computer.

  4. Verify that the following applications are present:

     • WDA Net Libraries

     • WDA Net Retrieve

     • WDA Net Update

     • WDA System Application
