Install EDW Pre-Processor

Note: You should follow the procedures within this chapter only if you require data pre-processing using EDW Pre-Processor.
EDW Pre-Processor is intended for pre-processing customer-specific data, which is typically stored in .xls(x) or .txt format, and transforming it into XML files that can be uploaded into AVEVA NET Gatekeeper and AVEVA Change Manager. It contains different tools, some of which are:

EDW Pre-Processor Database: This is the core part of EDW Pre-Processor. You can only deploy the EDW Pre-Processor Database or use the other EDW Pre-Processor tools if this core part is installed.

AVEVA NET File-to-Table Loader: You can use this console to upload your data from files to the EDW Pre-Processor Database.

AVEVA Gateway Controller: A Windows-based application that is intended for customer-specific data pre-processing. It may use AVEVA NET File-to-Table Loader, if configured.

EDW Transformer Tool: Transforms your pre-processed data into XML files.
To install EDW Pre-Processor:

Run the application installer.

Follow the instructions until you arrive at the following feature selection window:

Select the required EDW Pre-Processor tools, and continue through the steps and complete the installation.
After you have installed EDW Pre-Processor, you must confirm that the default installation folder contains the WDA.Applications folder. Typically, the WDA.Applications\TechInfo Manager\Tools\EDW Pre-Processor path contains the tools selected during installation.
