Monitor flows

Monitoring how flows operate in distributed environments is critical. CONNECT flows monitoring tools provide visibility into both flows and flow runtimes. Although processed data is not transmitted to CONNECT flows, each flow and runtime reports status at scheduled intervals, including any detected anomalies.

The dashboard provides a high-level view of the current system and highlights issues that require attention. Error counters capture significant events for later analysis.

Monitoring scope

Automatic monitoring can be configured at different levels, from broad system health to individual flow behavior. Alerts can be tailored to verify that the following occurs:

• Data arrives as expected

• Data characteristics meet defined requirements and remain stable over time

Flows can also include dedicated monitoring modules that generate alerts and notify relevant personnel when issues are detected.
