Create an annotation

You can document flows by adding text annotations to the canvas. The Annotations panel shows all annotations in a flow. You can reorder, enable or disable, or remove them.

1. Open a flow in Flow Studio.

2. At the top of the drawing canvas, select the Add Annotation icon.

3. Select-and-drag the annotation icon to a location on the canvas.

4. Select the icon to place the annotation.

5. Enter text In the annotation message box using markdown syntax.

6. Select the checkmark icon.

   Result: The annotation is saved and closed.

7. (Optional) Select the annotation's ellipses icon, then select Pin to Canvas.

   Result: The annotation text appears in the canvas.
