2026 Releases

These release notes describe enhancements to CONNECT flows and include resolved and known issues where applicable.

Note: Resolved issues included here are the highest priority issues reported by customers, not a complete list of bug fixes.

August

New features and enhancements

• Feature 4912027: AVEVA PI Web API Attributes Reader flow module (v. 1.7.0)

  • Improved performance-oriented behavior in attribute retrieval by introducing chunked data requests, bounded concurrency controls, and related PI Web API client adjustments.

  • Updated asset resource file configuration to support a path to target attribute resources.

• Feature 4912031: CONNECT Entities Reader Flows module

  • Updated to consume version 2 of the Entity Management API.

  • Within each entity in the module output, Aliases are now objects with an Alias and optional Context property (previously plain strings).

  • ClassId is now an integer accompanied by a new ClassName field (previously a string).

  • You must update the downstream modules consuming these fields. See CONNECT Entities Reader module for an updated example of the module output.

  • Improved the security and reliability when reading entity and instance data.

• Feature 4531532: CONNECT OMF Writer 2.0 Writer module

  • First release of the OMF 2.0 Writer module. This module receives messages from upstream modules and processes them by writing OMF 2.0 messages to an OMF endpoint.

  • Images and diagrams updated to work in both light and dark mode.

• Feature 4946738

  • Attached zipped versions of code files for code snippets to ensure code coherency.

Resolved Issues

• Feature 4912031: CONNECT Entities Reader Flows module

  • The Select Entities menu in the wizard no longer intermittently fails to load Entity IDs when you open it.

  • Deduplicated Entity ID search results in the wizard's Select Entities menu.

  • The wizard's Select Entities menu no longer skips the first page of results when reselecting the same data store.

  • The Wizard menu now displays the data store name instead of its ID.

  • Fixed a potential race condition when reading entity data.

New features and enhancements

This is the initial release of the CONNECT flows product. CONNECT flows enables seamless movement and transformation of data across industrial and business systems. This release also includes the AVEVA Reader and Writer modules, which provide connectivity to supported AVEVA data sources and destinations.
