Credential types and examples

Note: All users can use credentials when configuring them in modules. Permission to manage credentials must be granted.

The Credentials library stores them when flow modules need them to access external services. Examples of credentials include supplying a username and password or API keys. After a credential has been added to the library, it can be selected in the module settings.

Only users assigned with credential management can view credential details; regular users can only access credentials by name. Credentials are stored in encrypted form in both Flow manager and flow runtimes. A module can support multiple credential types.

Credentials are added from the Credentials page and then assigned in the Module Settings dialog in Flow Studio.
