Install Admin Password Utility

The Create Admin Password software generates an encrypted password that you will need before installing OSM Administration.

Encryption of installation password

Installing OSM Administration requires an encrypted password. This unique password can be generated with the Admin Password utility. The encrypted password is used one time only during installation.

The encrypted password contains information about these items:

• Database username that will be used to access the OSM Database.

• Database password that will be used to access the OSM Database.

• Database passphrase that will be used when logging in to OSM Administration.

  

Installing Admin Password Utility

Note: There is no 11.2.3 version of the Admin Password Utility. You must use the 11.2.2 version of the Admin Password Utility with OSM 11.2.3.

Follow these instructions to install the OSM Create Admin Password utility.

To install Admin Password utility

1. Double-click the OSMCreateAdminPassword_11_2_2.msi. Click Next.

   

2. Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next.

   

3. Review the destination folder and change if desired. Click Next.

   

4. Click Install.

   

5. When the installation is complete, click Finish.

   

   A desktop icon appears. There is no entry in the Start menu.
