Connection to AVEVA™ Asset Information Management Server (formerly AVEVA NET)
A connection to AVEVA™ Asset Information Management Server is not a requirement, it is optional. However, if your site will be using schematics, then you will need to connect to AVEVA™ Asset Information Management Server for access to engineering schematics.
The AVEVA™ Asset Information Management service is a solution for managing, accessing, visualizing, and comparing technical data and documents from multiple sources. It provides a centralized interface for visualization of the digital asset collection associated with an industrial site—including schematics, P&IDs, object attributes, 3D models, and isometrics.
