Licensing

AVEVA™ Operational Safety Management has a proprietary licensing system that requires you to obtain a license key. For all license issues, please contact AVEVA Service Delivery in Norway.

License type

The licensing model of AVEVA Operational Safety Management is the following:

• Site based – License per organizational site. There is one license per Site and an unlimited number of users. If your organization has three organizational sites, you will have three Site licenses.

License validation

The licensing mechanism will check for:

• A valid license key generated by AVEVA.

• The OSM software version for which the license is issued.

Upgrades

A new license is not usually needed for upgrade.

Check your license usage

To check your licensing information:

• In OSM Administration, on the Help menu, click About OSM Administration.

  

Module licensing

OSM modules can be licensed individually. If your license does not include certain modules, these modules will be disabled in your application.

Expired licenses

A reminder message will appear in the OSM web application 30 days before license expiry, and again 15 days before expiry.

If the license has expired, you will see a license expiry message.
