Location of Oracle database

The Oracle database can be housed on the same machine as the OSM web application, or on a separate machine to the OSM web application.

You may already have an existing installation of Oracle Server that you want to connect to.

Will need sys password for next steps.

Sequence of steps

  1. Install Oracle software on database server.

  2. Run the Database Configuration Assistant wizard to create and configure Oracle database, for example production.

  3. Use DB Tools to create OSM database.
