Install AVEVA™ Identity Manager

The AVEVA™ Identity Manager comes as part of the Platform Common Services (PCS) Framework msi file – asbframeworkinstallx64.msi. The PCS Framework is bundle of AVEVA common services and utilities, including the Identity Manager for authorization and login.

Platform Common Services (PCS) Framework msi file is included in the OSM installer package as a separate executable.

Guidelines

• You will need to install Identity Manager on each service that runs an OSM environment with an OSM database.

  For example:

  • Test Environment

  • Production Environment

• It's not possible to have Identity Manager installed twice on the same web server.

Two scenarios

Scenario 1—An installation of AVEVA Identity Manager already exists on the server. You will need to do the following steps.

• Add OSM configuration details to the existing instance of Identity Manager.

• Have Identity Manager URL values before you begin the OSM installer.

• You will need to do more configuration after the OSM installation.

• Install and register certificates.

Scenario 2—Installing AVEVA Identity Manager on a server for the first time. You will need to do the following steps.

• You must install Identity Manager before installing OSM. You can configure it later.

• Install OSM Application Server.

• You will need to do more configuration after the OSM installation.

• Install and register certificates.
