Installing Identity Manager

The AVEVA™ Identity Manager will be installed as part of the Platform Common Services (PCS) Framework installation.
We recommend that you restart the server after each time PCS is installed.
Sequence when upgrading to PCS 8.1.2
Note: You no longer need to take note of the existing registered clients and reapply those registrations using the configurator after uninstalling and installing PCS. It will now be automatically restored by the framework itself.
Use the following sequence if an existing version of PCS exists.

Stop the running AVEVA Identity Manager service.

Uninstall the older version of PCS on the server.

Restart the server.

Install the PCS prerequisites, if not already installed.

Restart the server.

Install PCS 8.1.2.

Restart the server.
Sequence when installing PCS 8.1.2
Use the following sequence for a new installation of PCS.

Install the PCS prerequisites, if not already installed.

Restart the server.
-
Install PCS 8.1.2.

Restart the server.
Install AVEVA™ Identity Manager

Locate the Platform Common Services (PCS) Framework msi file in the OSM installer package.
The filename is asbframeworkinstallx64.msi.

Right-click the PCS Framework msi and click Install.

On the Welcome screen of the PCS installer, click Next.

On the Custom Setup screen, click Next.

On the Ready to Install screen, click Install.

The installation begins.

On the final screen, click Finish.

Restart the server.
Open the Common Services Portal
You can access AVEVA Platform Common Services from the Start menu.
