AVEVA Work Tasks uses a variety of communication protocols such as e-mails to communicate with actors. An actor is a user who is responsible for a task or an activity.
AVEVA Work Tasks workflows can be initiated on receipt of e-mails. The workflows can also trigger e-mails, thus allowing actors to operate on processes from an email interface.
Integrate email
The mail delivery channel in AVEVA Work Tasks allows the action items of human activities like Approval and Checklist to be sent by email to the intended recipient(s). The recipient of these emails can perform the required action from the Inbox of email clients like Microsoft Outlook.
