Prerequisites

The prerequisites for the integration are:

• The AVEVA Data Pipeline is required to process the incoming APCM data.

• AIM-A must be added as an asset to the correct Data Pipeline account before it can process APCM data.

• Markups and objects (which APCM needs to integrate with) should be classified in AIM-A.

CONNECT requirements

To provide AIM-A as an available integration for APCM, as seen in CONNECT, ensure that both of the solutions are available and enabled. They can be at different folder levels in CONNECT.

1. Log into CONNECT.

2. Turn the Point Cloud Manager solution on and select the 3-dots.

   

3. From the APCM solution menu select Manage roles.

4. Assign the Data Pipeline User role and select Save.

5. From the APCM solution menu select Manage integrations.

6. Select the appropriate PCM to AIM-A integration and select Next.

7. Fill in the details for the Context, Ingestion API and Domain. For the Context, if the project has a sub-context in AIM, please specify the same value. If the data is at the root context level, then this field can be left blank.

8. Select Next and select Save on the summary page.

   

9. From the APCM solution menu select Share data.

10. Select Copy link. Provide this link to an APCM administrator so that integration can be performed. The link is only valid for 72 hrs.

    

Whitelist APCM URL in AIM

To ensure the Data Pipeline allows access to the APCM URLs (as specified in the InfoLocator attribute) to be processed, raise a support ticket with AVEVA to add all domains (present in the APCM URLs) to the Import Server's SafeDomains list.
