Drop User Tool

Drop user

This database tool enables you to drop the main OSM database user cow_owner and therefore all objects (tables and packages) owned by the cow_owner will also be deleted.

Requirements

The following conditions are required.

  • No Oracle sessions connected as cow_owner, cow_user, or cow_read can exist while this performs.

Guidelines

  • No backup of the data will be performed.

  • The database users cow_user and cow_read will also be dropped.

Database credentials

The application needs login credentials before the database tool can start.

  • When Drop user is selected, the user name is preset to sys and cannot be changed.

Drop user from database

  1. On the OSM Database Tools main window, click Drop user.

  2. On the Logon screen, enter the Oracle database connection details.

  3. Click Logon. The tool opens.
