Before installing the connector, complete the following tasks.

  1. Verify the host meets the software requirements for the connector.

    For more information, see System requirements.

  2. If you are upgrading to a new version of the connector, review the Migration section.

    Note: This is only needed for certain configurations. Version should be identical to the connector.

  3. If the data source has additional requirements for installation, complete those tasks.

  4. Configure security for the connector and your network. For more information, see Connector security.

  5. Review users and verify all local Windows AVEVA PI System Connector 3 (PSC3) Administrators group on the computer where the connector is installed. See Identify administration group users.
