This section details how to export or install a certificate that is on a connector into the Trusted Root Certificate Authorities Store.

Export a certificate

  1. Open the certificate manager on the machine where the connector is installed.

  2. Right-click on the certificate in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities Store and select All Tasks > Export. By default, this certificate will have the trusted name AVEVA PI System Connector 3 Self Signed Certificate.

  3. Select all default options and provide a unique name for the exported certificate.

  4. Copy the exported certificate to the Broker machine.

Install a certificate

  1. Right-click on the copied certificate on the Broker machine and select Install Certificate.

  2. Select Local Machine and then select all of the default options provided.
