Historian acquires and processes data several times faster than a traditional relational database. When data is acquired, Historian attaches a timestamp and quality stamp to the value before committing the record to storage. Historian acquires both original data and revision data. Historian tracks any modifications to the data, and tracks the means by which it was modified. |
