Manually load and unload the Excel add-In

Generally, when you install AVEVA Historian Client on a computer with Microsoft Excel , the Excel add-in is automatically loaded into Excel. The Historian tab appears in the Ribbon bar.

However, if you need to manually load or unload the add-in, use the following procedure.

To manually load the Excel add-in

  1. Click File and then click Options.

  2. In the Excel Options dialog box, click Add-Ins.

  3. In the Manage list, select Excel Add-ins, and then click Go.

    The Add-Ins dialog box will appear.

  4. Click Browse.

  5. Browse and select the HistClient.xla and HistClient.xlam.

    By default, they are installed here:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArchestrA

  6. Check the ActiveFactory Workbook and Historian Client Workbook check boxes.

  7. Click OK.

To manually unload the Excel add-in

  1. Click the Microsoft Office button, and then click Excel Options.

  2. Click Add-Ins.

  3. In the Manage list, select Word Add-ins (or Excel Add-ins), and then click Go.

  4. Unmark the Historian Client Workbook check box.

  5. Click OK.
