Acquire a copy of the self-signed certificate

Before you can trust a self-signed certificate, you need a copy of the certificate on your system. If you already have a copy of the certificate, proceed to Trust a self-signed certificate.
To obtain a copy of the self-signed certificate:

In your browser, browse to the AVEVA Historian Client Web URL.

In the address bar, click on the warning message indicating your connection is not secure.

Click Certificate (Invalid). The Certificate details dialog displays:

To trust the certificate, first you must save a copy. Select the Details tab.

Click Copy to File.... The Certificate Export Wizard displays:

Click Next.

Select DER encoded binary X.509 (.CER) as the export file format:

Click Next.

Click Browse... and choose a location to save the exported certificate.

Click Next.

Click Finish to export the certificate to the selected file:
