Commitment change values

If the template from which a communication was created is not configured as Expenditure but is configured to include financial values as required or optional, these values are treated as commitment change values.

If the contract does not have line items, only a single commitment change financial value can be specified for each communication.

If the contract has line items defined, multiple commitment change values can be specified for a communication. Each proposed change applies to a different line item and will affect its approved commitment value once the communication (or if necessary, its successor) has been approved/agreed. Only users with Contractor Representative and Contractor Administrator contract roles can view, add and edit financial values.

Add single commitment change values

If the contract does not have line items, a single commitment change financial value can be set:

• When the communication is created - see Create a communication.

• When an existing communication is edited - see Edit the details of a communication.

View single commitment change values

If the communication can only have a single commitment change value, this is shown in the Financial Impact field on the Communication Details page.

Edit single commitment change values

If the communication has a single commitment change value, this is edited with the other communication details on the Communication Details page. See Edit the details of a communication for detailed information.

Remove single commitment change values

If the communication has a single commitment change value, this can be edited if the communication is editable, but cannot be set to 0 if the communication template is configured to require financial values. See Edit the details of a communication for detailed information.
